I'll be rather busy the next few days, so there may be a break in the postings here. These photographs were taken on July 10th in Petikko.
(Posting title is from Daffodil Song by Edward Dorn.)
Photographs from Finland.
I write book reviews in Finnish in the Valopolku blog.

cool variety.. nature/always a pleasure.. but the shots from the mine.. great.
and I have it locked in my memory: sat July 18th.
so the next time a Finnish person comes in the store, I'm going straight to it
"Read this out loud.."
and see how far off are my phonetic american-street inspired pronunciations..
until next time.. Blessings!
Thanks!
The Tytyri Mine Museum was a great place to visit, and the guide we had was good for telling stories about the place, and what has been happening with the mine over the years. The mine is still active as there is plenty of limestone left for mining. Also, KONE Elevators has their testing facility at Tytyri, for trying out new models in the world's highest elevator test shaft.
