The beauty that I see

I walked for two hours this morning, starting at 7 AM. The day is going to be warm but in the morning it was cool enough for a long walk. I saw a pair of Gavia stellata with two young ones at a lake where they are nesting year after year. Somewhat strange birds, but I like them a lot.

These photographs were taken in Luukki on June 7th.

(Posting title is from the song I Am by Army Of Lovers.)

repeating myself some, but..
1. i visit for what your photographs are -of; not which camera they are taken -with. love the content AND the pairing of title to photograph(s).

i prefer your blog, photographs stacked vertically below a title, and above some text that tells me about location, temperature, how much exercise, some brief info about Finland..etc.

-i only see flickr accidentally when the sensitivity of my phone lands me there.. and automatically return to your blog because the format is not as appealing to me..

and i do not speak your language when it comes to distance in km's.. or, temperatures in c's.. or photographs by camera type/lens/settings..

but i sure do understand mystery and beauty and have a deep appreciation for nature.. which you capture in a way that must make God smile..

and enjoy seeing glimpses of man-made things in Finland too...

I'm curious how the stats effect and/or Influence you as a photographer and blogger...

I've found I am happiest ignoring them completely.

"Thank you!" again, for another weeks worth of abundant beauty..

blessings,

Thanks!

Sometimes I think it might be good to eliminate text from the postings, just show the photographs. On the other hand, there is a kind of motivation angle when writing about the hours of walking and such things.
