Augmented Reality has a nice posting (and example) on how to develop motion-blurred photos into artistic impact. I'm still striving to make sense of the possibilities available in this technique. Here is an example from yesterday. It was wet.

Now that is a really cool shot!
Yes, it was cool, not only wet. ;-)
Trying to take photos of children on dark days is challenging, but here I guess the motion blur fits the subject.
Hello Juha, I am enjoying your exploration of blurs. And thank you for pointing people to my site, Augmented Reality, I've been getting lots of extra hits recently
@bill: You are welcome, you have very nice postings on your site.
JH, I forgot to mention: This photo reminds me of a little girl (because of the pink) on the way to school. She has her matching lunch box in her hand and she is having a pleasurable time finding and walking in puddles, not avoiding them.
It brings back happy memories of my walks to school in the rain when I was in elementary school, especially those late spring time rain when the water was warm. Sweet memories.
@paul: An excellent example of how a photograph means different things to different viewers (or at different times). For me, it was wet and cold (but also nice to be out with the children anyway). Perhaps in a couple of years this photo will remind of the times when the children were small.
