Here are five photographs taken on Sunday, January 6th, at Meiko, where I went with the children for a walk in the forest. We have done a lot of walking at Luukki recently, and the children wanted to go to Meiko instead.
We had warm weather for a while, melting the snow, and then it got colder so that the snow froze and carried a person. Thus we could walk on the snow and not follow the paths. I did a little bit of orienteering on the way back and didn't get badly lost.
PS. Apparently camera makers are going crazy announcing new products right now. In the looks department the Pentax MX-1 is definitely something else, as noted by TOP. Because my LX5 has had problems with the click feel (it seldom works any more), I have been on the lookout on promising candidates in case the LX5 develops further symptoms of breaking down. Panasonic LX7 is rather self-evident choice, but Olympus XZ-2 is not bad either, and the Pentax MX-1 also caught my eye.

Sony RX 100!!!
You are right, the RX100 is another interesting choice, and even closeups are possible (5 cm focusing distance). But 28 mm is a little too much, 24 mm would be better at the wide end.
