I commuted by bicycle today, and it took about 65 minutes to get to work, and the same back to home. The roads were partly covered by ice, and mostly it was quite ok except when there were hard ridges in the ice, making it difficult to steer the bicycle properly. The studded tires were of great help, and a lot of the difficulty was due to lack of practise, as ice is different from snow and needs a different kind of technique.
The photographs here were taken on Saturday after sunset, walking in the nearby forests. I'll still behind in posting the photographs I have taken during the Christmas vacation, but I'll catch up sooner or later.
(Posting title is from the poem The Rolling English Road by G. K. Chesterton.)
