Here are two more photographs from today. Both are imperfect in the framing, simply because I didn't have much time to think about the subject.
The first one is a long-exposure (2.5 seconds) image of fire, the first time I have tried to do something like this. It is interesting how the camera can tell much more about the phenomenon than the eye. On the other hand, perhaps something is missing, the hotness of the fire vs. the cold winter weather would have been great to capture.
Which brings to the second image, of frost on bushes. There was a lot of contrast in the scene, and a nice combination of complexity and simplicity, but somehow I didn't quite manage to find a good composition for the image.
Both of these photographs provided a good learning experience, perhaps next time I'll success better. And it was quite interesting to try to make the images work despite failing at the end.
In fact, I have been thinking that it is good to document also the not-so-good images, because there is a lot to be learned by analyzing the failures.
Update: I'll be tomorrow in a strategy planning seminar all day, really late, so it is probable that there will be no postings or photographs.
