It is 10 °C warmer than usually. Normally the temperature is +5 °C in November in Finland, but today we got a new record: +14.3 °C. The previous record was +13.0 °C, from the year 1999. It feels as if it would be September instead of November.
On the other hand, the length of day is now 8 h 31 min, which means that I need to use the bicycle lamp both on the way to work and when returning home. I'm using eneloop and eneloop pro batteries, and they are excellent, providing bright light for 5-6 hours. But the batteries run out fast, in 20 minutes, without giving any advance warning, so I need to carry a spare set with me. I'm charging the batteries once or twice each week, which isn't too bad.
The photographs were taken at Pirttimäki on October 11th.

-i never acclimate well to shorter days and early darkness; hate it..
but i love these photographs! -and theres nothing to do but see, from Oct 27th
and rise in a light from Nov 1st.. everything that makes autumn so alluring...
blessings!
Thank you!
It has been a long autumn, the autumn colors stayed several weeks longer than usually, so there was plenty of time to enjoy the landscape and to take photographs. There is still plenty of daylight, but days get shorter fast. In December we'll have less than six hours of daylight, and the sun never rises far above horizon.
