Today I commuted to work by bicycle, which was surprisingly exhausting even though I recovered fast enough. And then there were a lot of things to take care of, so I didn't have time for photography, except for a couple of hasty shots.
However, I finally got from the library a book about eagle owls, by the nature photographer Mika Honkalinna. (Book details: Suuri pöllö, published by Honkalinna in 2011.)
Nowdays these big owls live in the city, it seems that they are quite adaptable. This is a book worth studying, and I'll come back to it after a while. Also our youngest daughter got interested in the book, and wanted us to guess where the owl is in each of the photographs.
A moment of profound silence followed.

Loved the lights and shadows in the steps photo. Everyday objects can be beautiful when looked at in a different light.
@ArtyMarti: Thanks! This is the lobby of a library, where they occasionally have exhibits of photographs etc. A fitting subject for a photograph...
