Playing hide and seek in light and shadows

It seems that some of the hurry from last week still lingers around. But finally, very late, I managed to go for a walk together with the children, to a nearby playground. It was dark, but there were some lights, and the children liked to play hide and seek in light and shadows.

Hello Juha,

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I really like the photos that you post each day, but my favourites tend to be the ones taken during your night walks in the winter. I am glad that you will be posting your "Dark Time" photos now. Two of my favourites are from a few years ago which I have bookmarked and view on a regular basis. In case you are interested they are the firet two of the three and you can view them here http://lightscrape.blogspot.com/2009/10/wet-autumn-days-and-nights.html

Best regards,

Errol

@Errol: I have sometimes wondered myself how first of those photographs came to be.

I was an 8-second exposure at ISO 400, well beyond what I normally used with the LX3. And I had no control over what happened at the Ursa observatory, just hoping for the best when taking the shot. But then the flashlights and camera flashes operated by the other people did something wonderful.

Can one use the term "decisive moment" of something like this? Hmmm...
