No safety on, no playing nice, just the spark

These photographs were taken in Lisbon on October 19th, late in the afternoon.

I have been looking at bicycle front lights, thinking that maybe I should invest in one that gives much more light than the one I now have. The Trelock LS 950 Control ION seems to be getting reasonably good reviews, but it is a tad too expensive. Another choice is Fenix BC30R, but that is even more expensive.

Battery life is quite short in many models, some are not waterproof, and some are difficult to use. Charging via USB would be excellent, but some lights have excessively long charge times. And then there is the shape of the light beam, which seems to be a problem with many of the lights.

(Posting title is from the poem Parable in Praise of Violence by Tony Barnstone.)

Thank you!

I was quite busy in Lisbon, getting there in the morning, and leaving the same evening, sitting in an aircraft nine hours within 25 hours. The photographs were taken quite hastily, but I'm got a positive impression of Lisbon, despite the rain, and would like to return there some day.
