Today we had a clear winter night with a crescent moon providing some additional light. I took a few photos in the park nearby, and later realized how very different the same subject can made to look.
In the dark photo the trees are directly lighted by the moon, but the exposure is much shorter than in the second photo, where we look mostly at the "shadow side" of the trees. This was a revelation to me.
The color balance was surprisingly quite good. In the dark photo I did remove a slight yellow color cast, but for the second one I didn't do any changes to the jpeg from the LX3.
