I commuted by bus today, reading a book, and the book was too good. Immersed in reading I went past my bus stop and had to walk a bit longer than usual to get home. If you haven't read short stories by Krisztina Tóth, you should, they are good. The book was Barcode, in Finnish Viivakoodi - 15 novellia. The stories are far from pretty, they bear a sense of truth.
I went for a walk with the children, enjoying the warm day, up to 24 °C, and it seems that this weather will hold for some more days. It hasn't rained since some time, so it is rather dry outside, but after the rainy summer this doesn't feel at all bad.
(Posting title is from the poem In Late August by Peter Campion.)
A moment of profound silence followed.
