I commuted by car today, and there were problems in finding a (free) parking place in Helsinki; summer starts to be over. Well, next week I'll start commuting by bus and bicycle, and tomorrow I'll use the bicycle.
Here are some photographs taken this morning, when the sun wasn't yet high. The shortening of the day is starting to be felt, now length of day is at 16 h 48 min.
I noticed a set of photographs of people reading, taken by Steve McCurry, not a bad set, maybe a bit overcooked colors but I like the photographs. But that is not surprise as I like both photography and reading.
(Posting title is from the poem Five Visions of Captain Cook by Kenneth Slessor.)
