Being photographed vs. being the photographer

I had today a portrait taken (in a suit) for an editorial I wrote to a magazine. It was (once again) nice to be photographed by a pro. (Technical note: Canon 5D with a L-series lens.) A couple of minutes and we were done. I trust the result will look nice (as nice as it can the subject being me).
