Today appeared in the printed MikroPC magazine my column on cameras and photography, titled "Don't buy a summer camera" (in Finnish, Älä osta kesäkameraa).
In the column I wrote of similar kind of topics as here at Light Scrape - the noisiness of compact cameras, the promise of the micro 4/3 format, the rewards of photography as a hobby, etc. What I hope is that camera buyers would demand better cameras in terms of low-light performance and less noise. Perhaps some day we will have full-frame compact cameras, who knows.
I also mentioned Panasonic LX3 and Sony W300 as good examples of compact cameras which have a reasonable good low-light performance.
This photo was taken today at the Tremanskärr nature park. This is a good autumn for mushrooms, at least.
