Today we had a sunny afternoon, and thus we went for a walk with the family. There is a nice nature path at the Tremanskärr marsh and lake Kurkijärvi nature park. This photo shows a resting place and the wooden walkway build on the marsh. There grew a lot of cranberries on the marsh, and a couple of people were collecting them.
The name of the marsh is said to refer to three Russian men who sank and drowned to the marsh a long time ago. It is not certain if the legend has a basis in reality. In any case, the marsh preserves corpses, so they may yet be found some day. What is certain is that there are a lot of dead trees on the marsh. Today the marsh is easy to walk on if you have rubber boots.
I have seen them. We may go.
