Introduction to optics

Today I had little time to do photography, a half-hour walk outside before sunset. But unlike yesterday, today I enjoyed taking photos, and tried out some new things. I was aiming at more lighter tone in the photos, all the way to overexposure if needed. And the results were indeed lighter, mirroring my feelings today.

This photo I almost missed, at the last moment looking down and thinking that there is something unusual there. The lens effect of the droplets was caught by the lenses in the camera and the microlenses in the image sensor, so there is a lot of optics going on in this picture.
