I just realized I have taken well over 5000 photos with my LX3. I'm still learning a lot, thanks to the control the camera gives to the photographer.
Today I seem to have taken an extensive amount of photos with tree silhouettes as the subject. I don't know why, perhaps the light happened to be such that these were the best available subject, or at least the most interesting.
Having a real-time display of histogram is really useful, it makes it possible to get exactly the kind of exposure you want. I seem to be using mostly -1...-0.3 EV compensation, but sometimes also +1, when shooting a lot of sky.
